Cliente Etsy“This dress is the most lovely costume I have ever owned. The craftsmanship and care taken when Stefania makes a dress is not comparable to any other dress maker I’ve ever known. The attention Stefania pays to every detail really shows in the quality of her work. I cannot believe how lucky I am to own something so beautiful. It was worth every penny and I will definitely be returning to Secret Times in the future for all of my costuming needs. (Both the green and burgundy dress in the photo were made by secret times) thank you Stefania!❤️”

From an early age, I would cover the closet doors of my bedroom with drawings of clothes. But I never really considered making that passion of mine my profession until the carnival, 2009. At the disco where I usually went on Saturday night, they held a competition for the best costume of the Carnival Party. Some of my friends and I decided to participate by bringing Sailor Moon’s Sailor Warriors. So, I dusted off my grandmother’s old Singer pedal, bought the fabric and started sewing …
We didn’t win that night, but I discovered something much more important: a passion for sewing. The fantastic feeling of having created something with my own two hands and the genuine satisfaction of having done it well (so it seemed to me then).
The more I tried to sew, the more passionate about it I got and discovered new things. I started making corsets and skirts started selling them on a forum.
In 2011, while I was attending the Faculty of Architecture in Parma, I started taking an evening course in modeling, cutting, and sewing. I took the course for two years and learned a lot.
In the meantime, having always been passionate about nineteenth-century literature and period films, along with Sara, a friend of mine, we started attending a nineteenth-century dance course in Mantua. On that occasion, I created my first period dress. The feeling I felt in wearing that wonderful dress, which I had always imagined wearing while watching and reading the stories I loved was an unforgettable sensation. And it is precisely that feeling that I want to give to my customers.
Then a car accident got me thinking and I finally decided to get serious. In 2012, I took the money from the injury and invested it in a costume design course at PoliDesign in Milan. There I was given the bases with which I was able to continue my path of improvement and personal study.
In 2016, I opened My Shop on Etsy, starting to sell also abroad, and then finally opening a VAT number in 2017. And as they say …
… The rest is history. 😉
